Wake up to the one voice you can't argue with. Yours.

Future You is an iPhone alarm that rings in your own recorded voice. You leave the message tonight, your future self plays it back in the morning. External motivation for the ADHD brain, provided by: You

Tue 4 AugAlarm
7:00AM
Your voice
"Morning. You said you wanted to wake up early for Pilates. Feet on the floor, we can be grumpy about it later."
I'm up
Snooze 9 min
One day with it

The alarm is only the first minute.

Most alarm apps stop the second you tap dismiss. That gap between waking up and actually leaving the house is where the morning really gets lost.

7:00Morning

Your voice, not the marimba

A real alarm breaking through Silent mode. You record it yourself, saying what will actually get you moving and setting the stakes.

What it sounds like"You've got pilates at 8. You already paid. Come on."
7:35The snooze

A snooze that counts down instead of giving up

Snooze again and the message escalates and tells you where you are in the morning. It orients you towards the time, which is what time-blindness takes away.

What it sounds like"You have 25 minutes until pilates. This is the last snooze that still works."
9:06 PMEvening

The part nobody else builds

Mark the day done and you unlock a message you recorded for yourself for exactly this moment. Miss it and nothing scolds you. Tomorrow is a fresh start, and the app says so.

What it sounds like"You did it. I know how much that took today. Proud of you."
Why it works

You don't need to be fixed. The alarm does.

If you've got raging ADHD, or just a personal vendetta against mornings, you have been sold self-improvement your whole life. You have the receipts proving that nothing works, so perhaps you've been made to feel that you were the problem. You're not.

Here's the knowledge that changed my mind: a recent study tried waking up sleeping kids using a tonal alarm. It only worked 53% of the time. When the same kids were woken using a recorded voice, they woke up 86-91% of the time. When the same study was tried with adults, the adults who were reminded using their own voice finished their task more than the group using a random sound.

Nobody claimed that study participants needed more discipline. The tool was the only variable.

That's our claim. Future You is a better alarm. No alarm fixes ADHD or executive function. But we know that your own voice at 7am isn't a random sound or a stranger telling you to try harder. You are the one who matters in the equation and Future You knows it's possible.

The pact

You're not setting an alarm. You're making a deal with yourself.

It sits on the home screen where you'll see it, in your words, written on a night you felt capable.

My pact
"I am capable of early morning and smooth days."
Written Sunday, 9:41 PM. Read back every morning since.

Record one message tonight. See what 7am feels like.

The beta is open and free. It takes about 30 seconds to set your first alarm.
